Yuan Yee (affectionately known as “YY”), started his foray into the financial markets in 2015.
In his early days, YY weathered painful losses as he based his trading decisions on hearsay. He learnt an unforgettable lesson from Mr. Market when he stubbornly fought against a losing streak and doubled down with every trade — eventually burning all his hard-earned capital.
Knee-deep in frustration, YY gave it one last shot and attended the Wealth Academy™ masterclass. He realised that managing his psychology is the most important aspect of trading. He learnt to focus on taking valid trades and set his eyes on long-term results.
Under Adam Khoo’s mentorship, YY regained his confidence in the markets. He became a consistently profitable trader, clocking a total return of +218% over 4 years. In 2020, he achieved an impressive +90.6% ROI despite the COVID crash, while the SPX index returned only +16.3%.
YY now gives back to the Piranha Profits® community by coaching new students to identify high probability trade setups and manage their trades. He is well-loved by fellow traders for his honest insights and humorous take on market matters. He firmly believes that trading and investing do not need to be complicated and strives to explain these concepts in layman terms to his students.
As a research analyst for the Ultimate Investors Playbook™, YY prepares monthly stock deep-dive reports. He focuses on identifying great companies in the Singapore, Hong Kong, China and US stock market.
